24 Peking University Students and Alumni Have Won the Alibaba Global Mathematics Competition

On March 29, the first Alibaba Global Mathematics Competition award ceremony was held in Hangzhou, and 24 Peking University students and alumni won the awards. Among them, 11 are students of the School of Mathematics and Science of Peking University, and 13 are alumni.

The alibaba Global Mathematics Competition lasted for six months, and 51 peoplewon prizes from tens of thousands of participants, half of them were from Peking University. Zhang Yue, a 2014 undergraduate, and Wei Dongyi, a 2010 undergraduate won the gold medal in geometry and topology group and the Gold Medal in Analysis and Differential Equations, respectively.
